7th inning stretch: Kate Mara

This week's stretch is not much of one. When the Super Bowl kicks off Sunday, Kate Mara will be enthusiastically backing the Steelers. The Shooter hottie is the great-granddaughter of Pittsburgh Steelers founder Art Rooney. When the Steelers won in 2006 Mara was working on a movie and missed it so she now puts it in contract that if Pittsburgh or the New York Giants (more on that later) makes the Super Bowl she gets to go. That's our kind of girl!

Now, about the Giants ... her great-grandfather Tim Mara founded the franchise and her grandfather, the late Wellington Mara, owned the team. Her uncle, John, is the squad's president and CEO while her dad, Chris Mara, is the Giants' vice-president of player evaluation. Wow! That'd be a nice family to join.

However, Kate certainly has her own charms. She is charming, in a shy kind of way, in interviews and has become a solid actress. I first noticed her in the failed drama Jack and Bobby, where she was the pot smoker who dated a track star whose brother would become president. I also liked her in 24. She was also a cheerleader in We Are Marshall.

As far as looks go, she is an intresting mix. She has a great little body, amazing eyes, nice lips, great hair and a pretty face. Mara has this cute and innocent thing going on but is still definitely sexy.

Sexy swimmer Beard not dating Thorpe

Apparently former Playboy poser Amanda Beard is not dating former Australian swimming champ Ian Thorpe. Is this news? Well, not really but it gives us the excuse to run a pic of lovely Amanda. What do you think of the lighter hair?
As well, this news might also lend credit to the rumors that Thorpe is gay.

Is "big" Jessica Simpson curvy?

Have you seen the "fat photos" of Jessica Simpson at a chilli cookoff? The Ms. Tony Romo looks a little more buxom than usual. Although the "mom jeans" aren't exactly the best look, but what do you think of her increased curves. Is she sexy?

Her photos have attracted quite the media storm of attention. Even her little sister got in on it and defended her big sis. However, was it all for nothing? Think Fashion has posted pics of Jessica in tight leather pants that it says show she isn't really as big as the former photos made her look.

Girls of the Super Bowl

While the men get all the attention at the Super Bowl, there are plenty of hotties around for our enjoyment around. Rhianna rocked this sexy black outfit at the Pepsi Smash Super Bowl XLIII Bash.
Country songbird Faith Hill will add her MILF touch to the pre-game festivities, along with John Legend.
Before the game gets going, Jennifer Hudson will perform the national anthem. How do you feel about Ms. Dream Girls? Hottie? Attractive? Ordinary?
Then the Boss - Bruce Springsteen himself - and the E Street Band will rock the world. The band of course includes Bruce's wife, Patti Scialfa. I have always thought that the redhead, a talented singer/songwriter, has been an underrated older hottie.

Matt Leinart's ladies

Unless something disastrous happens or there is a blowout, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart will not take a snap against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, don't feel bad for the former USC golden boy and Heisman winner. Just look at some of the ladies he has allegedly bedded.

There is Brynn Cameron, his baby mama. Although they had a big of a public dispute over payments and visitation rights, recent articles say the pair are friends. Cameron has a unique, athletic, California kind of look. The USC basketball player has been pretty good on the court recently, earning a Pac-10 Player of the Week award.

He also used to allegedly date Paris Hilton, the hotel heiress, reality TV star, "star" of the bomb Hottie and the Nottie and ... well ... sex tape superstar. Except for the fact that she is famous for being famous, I really don't get Paris' appeal. She doesn't seem real friendly and there are concerns about her smarts. I really don't think she is really that smoking hot.

Kristin Cavallari also apparently landed the Super Bowl bound pivot. Her claim to fame was her role in Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and she has appeared in some TV shows (Veronica Mars, CSI: New York) and is set to be some movies. Her career might not be amazing, but she is nice to look at. She has a nice body, a pretty face and great smile.

Steelers or Cardinals: Who has the hottest WAGs?

Who will win the Super Bowl on the field Sunday? The bigger question is who has the hottest wives and girlfriends.

My vote goes to the Steelers. Big Ben's girl Missy Peregrym is hot, while Mike Tomlin's wife Kiya as girl next door charm. As for the Cardinals crew, there are some beautiful ladies but Brenda Warner scares me. This former Marine could seriously hurt me.

WAG of the Week: Missy Peregrym

This Canadian hottie is allegedly dating Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger or she once did ... I keep reading conflicting reports. Anyway, what seems to be true is that Big Ben has a good eye for the ladies. He, of course, once dated stunning LPGA golfer Natalie Gulbis.

Ben seems to like the athletic types as Missy Peregrym was active in a variety of spots in high school. She still sports a great athletic bod and great long legs.

Missy currently stars as a love interest in Reaper and was on Heroes for a bit. She certainly doesn't mind being on shows with other hotties as she has had guest stints on Heroes, Smallville, the Chris Isaak Show, Dark Angel, Jake 2.0 and appeared in the atrocious Catwoman with Halle Barry.

Sexy Sportscaster of the Week: Jillian Reynolds/Jillian Barberie

Is a weather girl a sportscaster? Well, its Super Bowl time and we are football crazy so we say Yes! Plus, Chickipedia included this looker in its feature on Sexy Sideline Reporters.
Jillian Reynolds (formerly Jillian Barberie) is known in sports circles as the weather girl on Fox NFL Sunday. It is way easier to look at her than Terry Bradshaw.

Reynolds is best known for her great rack and non-stop talking. She freely admits she is opinionated and likes to go on and on and on ... But, she looks good, has admitted to being a bisexual in spite of being married, is on a football show and was once married to former major league baseball player Bret Barberie. She is hot enough to have two profiles on Chickipedia.com - one as Reynolds and one as Barberie.

WAG news: Wife of New England Patriot arrested

The wife of New England Patriot Richard Seymour has been arrested. According to MediaTakeOut.com, the mother of four and a friend took out their anger regarding Richard's alleged infidelities.

WLTX.com is reporting that Tanya Seymour is charged with two degree of lynching stemming from an assault at a New Year's Eve party. She is being detained at the Richland County Jail.

Hottie Athlete of the Week: Anita Marks

Well, it is Super Bowl week so we need to focus on football, football, football! So, what do we do for the Sports Hottie of the Week. We just have to go with a retired QB. Even after a few years of retirement, Brett Favre will never look as good as Anita Marks.

Marks played for women's pro football for the Miami Fury for four years and suited up for the Florida Stingrays for a season. According to her website, the South Dakota-born but Florida raised Marks had great arm strength and pinpoint accuracy on her passes. Her site boats she is one of the best QBs to ever play women's football (is that an accomplishment?).

Now Marks is a radio sports jock for 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore. She recently inked a contract to stay for another year. This was seemingly not good news to some of the station's listeners.

Her voice and opinions might not impress the Baltimore sports faithful, but her looks must. Marks, who appeared in Playboy in 2002, is an interesting combination. I think her face looks a lot like Sarah Jessica Parker's. Pics on her website show her snuggling with a pooch and just like SJP, Marks can pull off that "cute .. aaah" look. However, unlike Mrs. Matthew Broderick, Marks can also look pretty hot. I think her somewhat unusual mane only adds to her look and she has a pretty hot little body. With nine Grand Slam singles titles (and seven doubles and two mixed doubles), there is no doubt that Serena Williams is one of the best tennis players perhaps ever. Erin Andrews was in the house at Notre Dame - and stealing seats! But she looked good while doing it.

The hotties are disappearing! No. 1 ranked Jelena Jankovic (pictured) was bounced from the Australian Open. As was cutie Alize Cornet. Serena Williams was pushed but cracked the semis when her competition had to withdraw due to stomach problems. The hotties remaining at the Open include Serena, Elena Dementieva, home country fave Jelena Dokic and Russian Vera Zvonareva.


The "old girl" of U.S. skating. Alissa Czisny, took the women's singles title at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Although Keauna McLaughlin (pictured) battled the flu, she helped her team win their second consecutive pairs title.

U.S. skiier Lindsey Vonn missed the podium - finishing 8th in Super G - but still increased her overall World Cup lead.

Catriona Matthew, a pregnant 39-year-old, won an LPGA exhibition in Brazil. Cuties Kristy McPherson (pictured) and Angela Park were second and third.

Another reason to hate jocks: Football player scores Olympic hottie

Gymnastic hottie Alicia Sacramone is apparently dating Brown University defensive back Eric Hunt. How on earth did she choose him over me?
Is it the fact that he is an athlete? Or, as he is at Brown, probably pretty smart? Or, as a girl here says, handsome? I just don't get it.

Fantasies do come true! Footballer screws in centre circle

Having been recently transfer-listed because of reported gambling matters Dino Drpic of Dinamo Zagreb is not having the best luck of lately. However, don't feel too bad for him.

He is married to this frool-worthy model Nives Celzijus. While promoting her book called Gola Istina (The Naked Truth), she told a Serbian talk show:

"Dino had arranged that people should turn on the stadium lights for us and he finally fulfilled his dream of having sex in the middle of a football pitch. It was very naughty."

Now what of my dream of making sweet, sweet love to Anna Kournikova on the Yankee Stadium mound after I tear off her Princess Leia bikini? Can my company make that dream come true?

Ana upset! So sad!

The gorgeous Ana Ivaovic was upset at the Australian Open by 19-year-old Russian Alisa Kleybanova. Also losing out was the leggy Daniela Hantuchova, No. 19, who lost to the cute Alize Cornet.
As we will have no more Ana to watch in this major, I thought you might enjoy the above photo.

Cutie Alissa Czisny leads way at nationals

There was a lot of talk about the youngsters and the new faces who would be competing at this year's United States Figure Skating Championships. However, after the short program, 21-year-old Bowling Green State University cutie Alissa Czisny (above with former Canadian skater Liz Manley) is in the lead. She is certainly someone worth cheering for.

Seventh Inning Stretch: Marisa Tomei

It is Friday, so let's make a stretch and take a look at a lovely lady who is not exactly tied to sports.

This Italian American has attracted a lot of attention lately - and not all of it because of her good looks. Marisa Tomei has been nominated for best supporting actress Oscar for playing an aging stripper in The Wrestler, with the title role of the washed-up star embodied by Mickey Rourke. Tomei, who also got a Golden Globes nom for the role, already has an Academy Award for her hilarious performance in My Cousin Vinny.

I once tried to go see Daredevil in order to stare at the amazing Jennifer Garner. However, the movies switched (I was a moron and read the paper wrong) I ended up seeing Anger Management instead and was pleased to get to see this hottie on the big screen.

Along with her obvious acting talent, Tomei has great hair, an amazing smile and, although they are not amazing, nice breasts. A friend of mine says Tomie is a little too skinny now (check her out on Ellen), but I still think she looks fine. Although her character in The Wrestler worries about aging, this 40-something has aged like a fine wine. OK, big time cliche! But it's true.

AskMen screws over female athletes

I love AskMen.com. It is always a great read and has lots of photos of lovely ladies to look at. However, the site has me fired up as its Top 99 Most Desirable Women list has overlooked some extremely gorgeous and hot athletes and former athletes.

In total, the AskMen list, topped by Eva Mendes, includes seven athletes: . This is including two former "wrestlers," we can have the debate about whether they are actually athletes later.

Here is my top 10 of the sports ladies who were overlooked by AskMen and should be given their due:
10. Amanda Beard - I always thought that Beard had a unique face that could be gorgeous in some photos and at times a little less so, but former Playboy covergirl's toned body is definitely hot.
9. Gro Hammerseng - This stunning Norwegian handballer would rank even higher, except that she is dating a handballer - a cute female teammate. It's not that we have anything against this, it just means that she probably won't join us in bed.
8. Jelena Jankovic - Currently ranked No. 1 in the world, the exotic Serb is looking for her first major title - and looking good while doing it. She also always has something funny to say.
7. Alicia Sacramone - This U.S. gymnast wasn't at her best on the mat this summer but she still showed she is one of the best in the world. As well, her looks had us mesmerized. She is trying to get into fashion and I caught her on a Golden Globes red carpet show earlier this month (the wife made me watch it, OK?)
6. Karina Petroni - Is surfing a sport? This girl is just gorgeous.
5. Alexandra Orlando - The Canadian rhythmic gymnast topped webtv.hub's list of the 50 sexiest female competitors at the Olympics this summer.
4. Anna Rawson - Forget about Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman, Rawson is the real Aussie stunner. She has earned a spot on the LPGA tour for the 2009 season.
3. Lauren Jackson - Another Aussie. The Olympian, Seattle Storm hoopster and WNBA MVP is a tall drink of water - and I have never looked at water like this before. She doesn't mind doing nude shoots. That is a definite bonus.
2. Ashley Force - The drag racer is known for her speed on the track, for being John Force's little girl and for her killer good looks. In 2007, she topped an AOL Sports Poll for being the hottest athlete - male or female.
1. Natalie Gulbis - This girl makes golf worth watching. She is amazing to look at and has a fun personality.

So, that is my top 10 and I didn't even include retired athletes like Anna Kournikova (I mean, how can they leave her off) or Gabrielle Reece.
As well, I didn't include such hotties as softball hurlers Jennie Finch and Cat Osterman, tennis star Jelena Jankovic, golfer Cristie Kerr, snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler, soccer goalie Hope Solo, Serena and Venus Williams ...

Keibler is highest ranked athlete on AskMen's hottie list

Is wrestling a sport? I don't know, but on AskMen.com’s Top 99 Most Desirable Women list former WWE and WCW wrestler, manager and Nitro Girl Stacy Keibler. The former Dancing With The Stars dancer is No. 39 on the list. In November of 2008, the amazingly leggy Keibler was tabbed as the World's Hottest Athlete by InGameNow.

AskMen.com's list is filled with some gorgeous women. It includes WAGs such as Tony Parker's Eva Longoria (No. 45) and Tom Brady's Gisele Bundchen (No. 28) as well Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models Marisa Miller (No. 3) and Carolyn Murphy (No. 84).

The list is topped by Eva Mendes, with Meagan Fox, Miller, Keeley Hazell and Anne Hathaway rounding out the top five.

Cheerleader of the Week: Blackhawks Ice Girl Ashley Graham

This week we will try to answer the important question: Are ice girls cheerleaders?
Well, as the lovely Ashley Graham of the Chicago Blackhawks Ice Crew shows these NHL backers are definitely as good looking as the LA Laker Girls or the Dallas Cowgirls.
Also, both cheerleaders and ice crews are entrusted with pumping up the crowds and meeting and greeting horny fans.

While I don't know about dance routines, I'd argue the ice crew job might even be harder because you have be on skates (although some team members are in the stands) and help clean the ice.

These duties came naturally to our girl Ashley. She has been skating since about four, her dad played at the University of Wisconsin and her uncle, Phil Russell, was a three-time all-star blue liner for the Blackhawks. Hamm honoured with logo

The upstart Women's Professional Soccer league was smart in choosing who its logo should look like. They chose, of course, Mrs. Nomar Garciaparra - Mia Hamm. The U.S.'s all-time top scorer, Hamm is as nice to look at as she was good on the field. For an update on her life now, check out this ESPN story.

Venus, Sesil out at Aussie Open

The tennis world is a little shook up today with the news that Venus Williams has been ousted at the Australian Open. I like Venus as both a player and a hottie so it is disappointing the leggy star won't be around anymore.

However, I am also disappointed that the lesser known Sesil Karatantcheva was also knocked out. The Bulgarian blonde is a looker for sure. She also pretty good with a funny quote or a boast. As well, she has an interesting story. Sesil was suspended for a couple years for failing a dope test. It was fun to watch her win a bit in her first really big tournament since coming back from the suspension. Hopefully this stunner can light up our TV sets at some more majors this year.

Erin Andrews gallery gone, but will be back

Apparently there was no foul play in a gallery of more than 750 photos of ESPN sports hottie Erin Andrews disappearing from the web. It appears all the hits on the MrSec site caused it to crash.

Because of this they have removed the gallery for now but vow we will soon be able to ogle the beautiful Ms. Andrews soon. The boys at Kornheiser's Cartel have filled up thee free time waiting for the gallery to return by mocking our sweetheart. Shame on them.

Austrian hottie Marlies Schild voted country's sexiest athlete

Austrians like Marlies Schild. They like her a lot.
The 27-year-old cutie skier (second photo) topped an Austrian Times poll of the country's sexiest athlete. Schild, who is out of World Cup action with an injury, earned 59.3 percent of the votes.

I think she is pretty cute, but for my money second-place Fabienne Nadarajah (top pic) is way sexier. The sexy swimmer has a nice mix of tone and femininity. I'd put her up against Playboy's Amanda Beard any day of the week.

Rounding the top four in the Austrian Times poll were pool player Jasmin Ouschan and triathlete Lisa Hütthaler.

WAG of the Week: Coleen Rooney

Forget about Posh Spice. The at times skeletal fashion plate/Mrs. David Beckham has nothing on our girl Coleen Rooney. In case you live in North America and don't know who she is, well ... you are missing out.

The former Coleen McLoughlin is married to Wayne Rooney, a standout soccer player (or footballer as they are known), who has starred for England and Manchester United. Coleen has known Rooney since they were 12 and the pair have been together since they were 16. She has used her attachment to him to launch a variety of careers and earn herself millions of dollars. Married in 2008, Coleen has written for Closer and OK!, been a television presenter, been the face of the LG Electronics Chocolate phone campaign and Asda, had her own exercise DVD and even published an autobiography.

But the real reason we like her is her looks. I think she has an interesting face: kind of cute, girls next door like.
A buddy of mine complains constantly that her body is not hot. However, check out these other swimsuit pics from the Daily Mail and I doubt you will complain. She is not Jessica Biel toned, but really who is? Her chest is not huge, but a nice size and she has a cute bum.

Ice skating wardrobe malfunction

With the Super Bowl coming up, the memories of Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction are coming flooding back. However, compared to what happened to Russian skater Ekaterina Rubleva at the European championships, it was nothing.

Rubleva showed the world a breastleva when her dress slipped down. She might not be Salma Hayek up top, but this beautiful woman has nothing to be ashamed about.

I was so happy this morning when I saw that Mr. Sec had posted a gallery of more than 750 photos of Erin Andrews! So, I spent some time looking at the many, many pics they had compiled of the ESPN sports hottie. However, when I try now to go to MrSec.com, it tells me the page has been suspended. Who could be mad about hundreds of photos of the most beautiful woman in sports broadcasting being posted?

1. The Playboy America's Sexiest Sportscaster 2009 poll has had its contestants reduced to just five. Thankfully Erin, last year's champ, is still in the running. Anna to be a mama?

Is it true that our girl Anna Kournikova (also known as the hottest former professional athlete ever) is going to be a mom? The blogs, including this one, are stirred up by Anna in a white, loose fitting top during a day out on the boat with that lucky Enrique Iglesias and friends. So, she must be pregnant, right? The thought, of course, is that Anna never hides her fantastic body so something must be up. Even in this shirt she still shows off some of her many assets.

Sometimes the early rounds at majors can be pretty dull. Thanks to Andy Roddick's squeeze, things were not that way early on this year at the Australian Open. Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition stunner Brooklyn Decker was in the stands. She looked great in a white linen summer dress and sported the huge diamond ring he bought her.
He might not be a favourite to win, but Roddick gets a salute from us.

Ok, so week 3 and I am already stretching the rules. Is Gambling911.com senior writer Carrie Stroup really a sportscaster or sportswriter?
Well, she does write - a lot - and she is hot! So, yes!

Looks: If the pic doesn't convince you, this Florida beauty was Miss World United States and competed for the United States at the Miss World 2001 Pageant. In 1998, she was Miss United States Teen.

Success: Carrie writes a lot about sports and betting. The Super Bowl is a big time of year for her. Plus she has been on Scrubs and also appeared as herself on Sunset Tan and Wild Girls Vegas.

Aussie Open hotties: Jelena Dokic

The last time Jelena Dokic advanced to the second round at the Australian Open, it was 1999. Since then the No. 4 ranked woman in the world has represented Serbia (the country of her heritage) and now represents Australia (the country where she grew up), she also is estranged from her family, battled depression and debated giving up the game altogether. A first round win over Tamira Paszek was a victory in many ways for Dokic. It is also a win for those who appreciate Dokic's game and beauty. As Chickipedia.com states, she has many fine assets.

Also advancing were Ana Ivanovic and fellow Serbian sensation Jelena Jankovic, Dinara Safina, Vera Zvonareva, Sania Mirza, and Nadia Petrova, among others.

7th Inning Stretch: Kristy Swanson

At the end of each week, we take a bit of a stretch - to look at a hottie that might not have a direct link to sports, but ... as she is smokin' we feel the need to post a photo of her!

This week it is Kristy Swanson. So, how do we make the stretch. Well, she played the tennis player falling for the quarterback in The Program. As well, she was the cheerleader in the movie version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Swanson also won the 2006 Fox show Skating With Celebrities.

That is where she reportedly fell in love with partner Lloyd Eisler, who was married to a pregnant woman at the time. Swanson later was accused of assaulting Eisler's wife, but charges were dropped. Swanson and her partner have a child together and are getting married next month.

So, why do we care? We have loved this gorgeous blonde's hot body for a long time. As AskMen.com states, her in-car sex scene with Charlie Sheen in the crappy The Chase was a fantasy for many of us.

Dementieva has a leg up on the competition

With her long legs and beautiful face, Russian tennis star Elena Dementieva always look good. Right now her tennis game is looking almost as good as she does. The No. 4-ranked player in the world claimed the Sydney Open title Friday. This comes on the heels of her win at Auckland last week.
She is riding a 10-match win streak into next week's Australian Open.

Coach's wife: Lawsuit ruined our sexlife, I'm suing

Would a lawsuit keep you out of bed with this cutie? Me? Now way.

However, it apparently has for University of Mississippi head men's basketball coach Andy Kennedy. He has been in legal trouble since allegedly punching a cabbie and shouting racial slurs at him. Kennedy adamantly denies the charges and is suing the cabbie and another man for defamation.

But the stress of the situation has apparently left Kennedy a little limp. According to Deadspin.com, His wife, Kimber Kennedy, has filed a "lack of consortium" suit against the two men her husband is suing. She says the stress from the lawsuits has stopped the couple from having a normal sex life. Normal sex life? No whips and chains then?

I am on the Cardinals' bandwagon. I remember when Kurt Warner came out of nowhere to star for the Rams and win a Super Bowl. Now he is usurped pretty boy Matt Leinart and is leading one of the NFL"s historically worst franchises toward the championship.

And who is cheering him on? The exotic Dana B. Originally from California, this unqiue cutie is a bartender who has studied business management.

Brady to walk aisle

So, you think Tom Brady has had a rough football season, right? Hurt in the first game of the season and out for the rest. Rumors are flying that he might not be back for the fall of 2009. His Pats won't be in the Super Bowl.

Yeah, it's been a little rough, but ... he is with Gisele Bundchen. Gisele Bundchen! Now he is said to engaged to the Brazilian bombshell. Yeah, Brady you got it bad ... yeah right!

Girls of Friday Night Lights: Connie Britton

It is definitely not fair to call Connie Britton ... the 40ish red-headed hottie is definitely all woman! I first noticed her a couple seasons ago on 24 when she was Jack Bauer's landlady (Tangent: Have you see the news season of 24? Tony's back!).

I thought she was cute, but during three seasons of the criminally under-watched Friday Night Lights I have definitely fallen in love with this gorgeous MILF. She is definitely one of the sexiest women on TV over the age of 40.

As for her character, Tami Taylor on Friday Night Lights, Britton plays the well-written part to perfection. Her final few scenes in last night's DirecTV FNL season (series?) finale with the always dependable Kyle Chandler were fantastic. While the teen drama might be a draw for many viewers, Britton and Chandler have been the heart and soul of this great series for three seasons.

Just hearing Britton say "you all" in that Texas accent she uses on the show makes me want to swoon. If you missed season 3 on DirecTV, catch the 13-episode affair starting Friday on NBC.
